Our Story

Two practices that decided clients were better served together.

Clear Fire is the working partnership of two established, independent fire safety companies: Bonnar Fire Risk Assessments Ltd, run by Kevin Bonnar, and Sheaf FRA Ltd, run by Jon Sheaf. Both came into fire safety the same way, decades on the construction side of buildings, and both built their practices on the same idea: clear, honest advice from the person who actually walked the building.

Between them Kevin and Jon have seventy years in construction, working with fire-rated doors and windows, curtain walling, facades and high-specification building envelopes. That is the difference clients notice: findings explained in plain English, with a real understanding of how the building is put together and what it will genuinely take to put right.

Working together as Clear Fire means more coverage, more capacity and cover for urgent jobs, without ever losing the thing that matters most: a senior, independent owner on every site visit.

We sell fire risk assessments and fire door inspections, nothing else. No commission, no upselling. If remedial work is needed we can introduce trusted trades, but the advice is only ever about what you need to comply.
